THE STATUSES
low console/bench

The sociologist Max Weber formed a three-component theory of stratification in which social difference is determined by class, status and power. In general, social status refers to the honor or prestige attached to one's position in society. Some of the more common determinants of status include: income/wealth, occupational prestige, education, popularity, kinship and in some cultures/groups even race/ethnicity or gender.
Studio theorist’s new console design “the statuses” describes a society in which diverse positions of people in a hierarchical social system are perceived but the status-based stratification resulting in respect and prestige is mainly based on people’s different levels of “moral values”.
